Is the reading really free?
Yes. Generating a full reading is free and doesn't require an account, an email address, or a card. A free account adds extras — saving readings and keeping a history — but the reading itself never sits behind a signup.
Do I need an account?
No. Enter your birth details and your reading appears right away. Without an account the reading lives only in your current browser session — if you want to keep it, you can create a free account to save it, or share it with a link.
What if I don't know my birth time?
You can still get a reading — just check "time unknown" on the form. Your planets' signs and the aspects between them can still be calculated without a precise clock time. The Moon moves fastest, so if it changed signs during your birthday, your reading notes both possibilities instead of guessing. What we leave out are the parts that truly need an exact time: your houses and your rising sign — the sign that was climbing over the horizon at the minute you were born. We'd rather omit them than guess.
Which astrology tradition does the reading use?
Western astrology, using the tropical zodiac — the sign system anchored to the seasons, the standard in Western practice — and drawing on both its classical roots and modern sources. Zodisphere the app explores many traditions, but every reading generated here uses Western astrology and is labeled that way.
Is my birth data stored?
Not on our servers. Anonymous readings are ephemeral: we compute your chart, assemble the reading, send it to your browser, and store neither the reading nor your birth details. If you create a share link for an anonymous reading, we store a copy of the reading's text for 90 days so the link works — never your birth details. With a free account, your saved readings and birth data are stored in your account, and you can delete them from your account.
How are the planetary positions calculated?
With Swiss Ephemeris — the high-precision astronomical library used by professional astrology software. Your chart's positions are computed for your exact birth moment and location, not approximated from tables.
Can I save my reading or come back to it?
With a free account, yes — every reading you generate is saved to your history automatically, ready to reopen anytime. Signed out, your reading lasts as long as your browser session; a share link can also keep a copy of its text (never your birth data) live for 90 days.
