Our birth chart calculator uses precise astronomical data from the Swiss Ephemeris to calculate planetary positions accurate to within arc-seconds. Simply enter your birth date, time, and location to generate your complete astrological profile.

The chart shows the positions of the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in the zodiac signs and houses. It also calculates aspects—the angular relationships between planets that reveal how different parts of your personality interact.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a birth chart?

A birth chart is a snapshot of the sky at the exact moment and location of your birth. It shows the positions of the Sun, Moon, and planets in the zodiac signs and houses, providing a cosmic blueprint of your personality, potential, and life path.

Why do I need my exact birth time?

Your birth time determines your Rising sign (Ascendant) and the house positions of all planets. The Ascendant changes approximately every 2 hours, so even a 30-minute difference can significantly affect your chart. If you don't know your exact time, you can use noon, but the house positions and Rising sign won't be accurate.

What is the difference between Sun sign and Rising sign?

Your Sun sign represents your core identity and ego—it's determined by the date of your birth. Your Rising sign (Ascendant) represents your outward personality and first impressions—it's determined by the exact time and location of your birth. Both are important for a complete understanding of your chart.

What house system should I use?

Placidus is the most commonly used house system in Western astrology and is our default. Whole Sign houses are popular in Hellenistic and Vedic traditions. If you're unsure, start with Placidus, but you can experiment with different systems to see which resonates most.
